John Bailey (rekkanoryo) has just informed us in
devel at conference.pidgin.im that the story as just hit slashdot's
firehose, which is meant to be a catch for misinformed stories, but is
slowly climbing up to being published.

My question is, are we announcing today, or are we going to continue to
wait.  I vote for today since the post to translators is already
archived and showing up on digg and wikipedia.
