I think these are a lot more on the track I had in mind.  Is there away
we can get away from solid purple though?  As stated before, I know the
prpl -> purple thing is what we're trying to do, but this shade of
purple in such large doses strikes me as ugly.

I don't remember what score I gave before, but add at least 10 - 20 to
that score.
