Gaim focus bug - already fixed?

This might have been fixed by [12336] (Ischiere) or [6509] (thekingant), but I can't really tell because both give errors when I try to view them.

In the latest release of Gaim from apt, if your focus is in another application, and then you right-click on a contact in the contact list and select 'alias', the focus remains in the other application. I am using the beta xubuntu with everything from apt up-to-date (as of this writing).
