Building 2.1.0 failes on Red Hat Enterprise Linux WS release 4 (Nahant Update 4)

Dear developers,


I just found out that pidig 2.1.0 was relased, I I am trying to upgrade
my pidgin 2.0.2, which I compiled from sources quite succesfully.


However, make on 2.1.0 sources failed:
