I can do that. The checkbox entries – all the ones in Insert save
"Reset formatting" – can't be given icons, but everything else can.

Perhaps now that we show the current formatting on the "Font" button
in the toolbar, those checkboxes are all superfluous?

Also, I tried figuring out how to make the labels "Bold" "Italic" etc.
show formatting, as in

but I couldn't see how to do it.
