I use Junction [1] with several installations of various Pidgin builds
to keep their logs together. After moving .purple\logs (or it's
contents) out of the way, something like the following should work,
adjusting paths as you see fit. No clue how well this would hold up with
a removable drive, though.

junction.exe "C:\documents and settings\<username>\Application
Data\.purple\logs" "F:\logging\pidgin"
