Restoring compatibility with old plugins

Nope, I haven't, and I apologize. I planned on testing things out today, 
but got side tracked fixing up some vpn bugs in NetworkManager. I've got 
to drive from Chicago to Madison tonight, but will try to take a look 
when I get home tonight.

Was the plan to try and release 2.3.1 tomorrow?
