Yes, they definitely deserve credit for what they provide us with and the
services they supplied us in the past as well. Their policy on logo display has
changed recently, with the round of logo changes that happened about the same
time; it used to be that they asked any project using any of their services to
display the logo on the project's site (for non-SF hosted; SF hosting always
required the display) and link back to the Sourceforge site.
