GTalk file transfers (might or might not apply to all XMPP)

Hello,

I've noticed that file transfers always seem to fail under GTalk. I
have no other contacts to test this with standard Jabber servers, so I
don't know whether or not the problem applies to all XMPP servers.

I've done some searching in the Trac tickets and didn't find anything.
Is it a known issue, a problem at my end(unlikely) or is someone else
tackling it already?
