It's 32x32 in that screenshot. The same size we display it in the
buddy list. I figured that was natural enough. In a way, this is
designed to be almost like a buddy list node in the conversation
window. Perhaps it could be designed to actually resemble one.

If you don't consider buddy icons useful, but have them on only
because they don't take up much space, would it bother you to turn
them off if they happen to take up more space?
