There used to be a bug where we don't allocate enough height for the
typing area, and that causes the widget to jump on every keystroke, is
that what Daniel is hitting here? Before this commit, at least we don't
jump back to the old height until after the message is sent, so it's
less noticeable for people who don't resize the entry height.
