pidgin win32 error on start

Pidgin 2.2.2 from monotone cannot start due to an error in libxml2.dll.
a dialog pop up:

"The procedure entry point _xmlSAXUserParseMemory could not be located 
in the dynamic link library libxml2.dll

than another one:
Error loading pidgin.dll
Error 127: the specified procedure could not be found.

i've upgraded libxml to the latest version as specified in 
BuildingWinPidgin on wiki.
same error even with le previous version of libxml.
