I agree entirely with Ethan and Luke's statements on all of the points brought
up in this thread.  I do, however have something to add to this point in
particular.  I don't think *any* window of *any* software package should have
its position remembered and requested by the application; therefore, I don't see
a reason for the buddy list window to have its position remembered.
