What about pidgin-mtn/po/POTFILES.in? This file is probably outdated:

    If some of these files are left out on purpose then please add them to
    POTFILES.skip instead of POTFILES.in. A file 'missing' containing
    this list
    of left out files has been written in the current directory.

As far as I can see, all the above files are used in standard builds of
Pidgin (libpurple+Pidgin+Finch). Please update
pidgin-mtn/po/POTFILES.in. A patch is attached (I sorted the POTFILES.in
file with "LC_ALL=C sort -t/ -u -o POTFILES.in POTFILES.in").
