problem sending message in pidgin

Hi everybody, 

I am a user of pidgin 2.1.1 in linux suse 10.3.
I am using the msn protocol. Ican login, that
is i write my password and then i can see
my friend who are connected. The problem comes
when i try to send a message, for example "hi" : 

.............................................
(18:54:49) pojeda: hi
(18:54:51) Nachricht konnte nicht gesendet werden,
da ein Verbindungsfehler aufgetreten ist:
hi
............................................. 

sorry it is in german but translated it means: 

(18:54:49) pojeda: hi
(18:54:51) message cannot be sent, there is a
problem with the conexion.
