Is there a written overview of what is done and what is missing besides 
what can be seen at http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/34 and
http://developer.pidgin.im/wiki/GSoC2008/VoiceAndVideo?

Is the GSoC02008 branch the most advanced as far as vv functionality is 
concerned?
