porting finch to uClinux

I'm looking into porting libpurple over to the Nintendo DS using the
homebrew kits, and DSlinux looks like a good choice. It uses a uClinux
kernel also, and I was wondering if you made any progress trying to
build pidgin/finch/purple for your bluefin platform.
