Chat-left signal

Hi!
I have been trying to write a perl plugin for pidgin and finch that would 
autoclose chat windows as soon as account gets `chat-left` signal. 

For example I entered yahoo chatroom and after 3 hours yahoo autodisconnects 
my account from the chatroom but the chat window remains open. And I want it 
to autoclose. I have tried to call 

Purple::Conversation::destroy($conv)

upon receiving chat-left signal but it crashes Pidgin 2.3.1 . So is there any 
other way to autoclose chat window after chat-left signal?

I would appreciate any help!
