idea for a plugin; is this possible?

Hello All,

Well, this was an idea for a plugin that i had. What if every pidgin
messenger had a plugin by which it could recieve notifications about
patches\updates which ought to be installed from a central pidgin
server?

Would it be useful? This way it would be easy to relay absolutely
urgent information between developers and pidgin users.
