Pidgin Windows Compile - inet_aton error - PLEASE HELP !!!!!!!

Hi All,

I am trying to compile pidgin on windows using cygwin (v 2.5.1, also
tried v2.5.3) according to the instructions at http://developer.pidgin.im/wiki/BuildingWinPidgin

I keep getting several errors on sametime.c

So next I tried to disable unwanted protocols using
$ MSGFMT=/home/sm/win32-dev/gtk_2_0 ./configure with-dynamic-prpls=

But now I get error message saying
inet_aton not found

I do have gettext installed in cygwin.

PLEASE HELP !!!!
