Hi everyone!

I'm a developer focused in C++ for Windows, working about five years with
proprietary software only, and I'm also a student in PUC-RS, Porto Alegre,
Brazil.

Actually I'm developing a Compiler/IDE named "procp32". I know Pidgin since
2005, and I would be glad to help you with its development.

*So, that's my goal: Write down a native user interface based on libpurple
to Microsoft Windows.*

WHAT IS YOUR PROPOSED PROJECT?

I want to make a calling/generating interface layer for libpurple, to keep
compatibility, making things easier to GTK developers (using unique call).
The tricky part of the project is trace all GTK callbacks and define which
are important to write in MFC, for use into Pidgin.

My proposed deadline to finish whole project is three months, starting in
May and ending in July. Two months for programming and one month for testing
and fixing.

WHY DO YOU WANT TO WORK ON THIS PROJECT?

Because I'm a Pidgin user (since 2005) and I'd like to help yours improving
this software. It will be my first experience with free software. Now I have
spare time to work on this.

WHY SHOULD WE CHOOSE YOU?

I never help the community and this will be my first experience. I will make
all for be a great help for yours.

PLEASE LIST RELEVANT ACADEMIC, INDUSTRY AND/OR OPEN SOURCE EXPERIENCE

I've been working for five years developing in C++ with Visual Studio,
working with MFC mainly and .NET in small projects. Actually I'm developing
a Compiler/IDE in C++ with MFC with vs2003. You can take a look at
http://www.bcmautomacao.com.br/, searching about "procp32".

ANYTHING ELSE?

i will dedicated max for this project, i developer fast when i like of
project and this is a door of the world, and i will get this of two hands.
