GSOC project idea

Hi,
I am a fellowship holder at lanka software foundation and have been working
on open source project called Dalesa(which is a p2p web cache). One of my
role in the project was to implement a zeroconf chat client component for
dalesa users. So the solution i came up was to implement a protocol plugin
to pidgin and I accomplished the task with pidgin.
I am just writing those information to show that I am familiar with pidgin
platform like how libpurple works and then the set of protocols on top of
it. That is all to tell where im to here in a nutshell.
Here is the main concern of this post. I wish to write a gsoc proposal to
pidgin. One is the given idea to implement *"A Protocol Plugin Which Sends
SMS Message via Your Cell Phone"* which is listed in piding site. The next
idea is my original one which basically intent to implement *a peer to peer
media streaming component to pidgin using SIP and DHT*. Yea this has a lot
of works to do I know. So before I start drafting the idea I would like to
know the feasibility of the idea. Therefor I would like to know your opinion
in this regards. If you can direct me to a person in pidgin community who is
supposed to stand as a mentor that would be a better thing.
