I am a student of computer science and engineering from India.
I am looking forward to participate in gsoc2010.
I would like to propose following idea for consideration.
It is about adding ability to pidgin to interact with applications on the
same computer. A very simple example of this can be two persons playing tic
tac toe while chatting.
 Both have tic tac toe application installed. Now this program will send
choice made by player 1 to pidgin,
 which can be communicated to player 2 's  computer via pidgin then pidgin
will send information to tic tac toe game installed on player 2 computer.
It will also be helpful for coding discussion etc.
It will require
1.  Extending the library for special messages meant for applications.
2.  Creating a mechanism for interaction of pidgin with applications. Here,
D-Bus can be used.
