I don't have much of an opinion either way.  I think we'd be fine if
we removed it, but I don't see it as a huge problem to leave it as-is.
 I guess I'm mildly in favor of removing it.  I'm fine with asking
users to upgrade if the hostname or port change again in the future.
My impression of both AOL and the new ICQ people is that they do try
to not change hostnames or otherwise break compatibility.
