I like it. Somehow now I see the buddy list and I feel it a little ugly.

Most of the time I have disabled the "Buddy details option" because it
looks like a lot of wasted space. Maybe it would worth to add another
"Buddy display" option and use a (more) scaled down display image when
the buddy details are disabled, this way we can avoid wasting space
and have the visual access to our buddies.
