Pidgin and the End of Windows Live Messenger

Don't know if this has been mentioned before but I just happened to notice
that http://www.jabbim.com/ claim to have a skype gateway, it's an XMPP /
Jabber gateway so perhaps skype does indeed have an xmpp interface.
