Data Structures in Pidgin and libpurple

Hello,

Sorry if this ends up getting posted twice.

For a class project, we must find and improve two data structures in an
open source project. I have chosen Pidgin and libpurple for the project.
Can anybody help me find some good data structures to change?

I found the list here already:
https://developer.pidgin.im/doxygen/2.10.5/html/classes.html

However, I am still not sure which data structures I should try to improve
and change.
