Force https for pidgin.im website?

Hello,
I have seen the discussion for HTTPS support for pidgin.im
https://pidgin.im/pipermail/devel/2013-April/022730.html

Did you decide to not force HTTPS for pidgin.im website?
I think it's a good option to use mandatory HTTPS for pidgin.im and
subdomains. (dev, hg, mailists, planet pidgin)

For example github.com is using redirection to https://github.com

The best option would be also to host the pidgin downloads on
https://pidgin.im, not using unprotected sourceforge mirror servers.
