Resizing Buddy List

What version of Pidgin and which OS do you use? In addition, what screen
resolution do you use?

I think there is a hardcoded minimum of the buddy list (which on my
Pidgin (Windows, V2.2.2) is 120px). So if your screen is about 200px
wide, yes it would take 3/4 of your screen ;)
