Will POD be supported in a future release?

I see. I misunderstood his post then. I have no idea of how to go about
developing a POD plugin for Pidgin, so I guess I won't worry about it.

There's no connection between OTR and POD.  Luke mentioned the OTR  
plugin as an example of a starting point you might use if you wanted  
to develope a POD plugin for Pidgin or libpurple.
