Window Doesn't Pop Open When I'm Messaged

In gaim, when my conversation window was iconified and someone sent
me a message, the window would pop open.  I'm not seeing the same
behavior in pidgin, the window stays closed.  Is this a setting
somewhere?  I'm using 2.2.1 on RHEL 5.
