Pidgin ALWAYS crashes when wasking from Sleep (Vista Enterprise, 2GB RAM, Thinkpad X60, Pidgin 2.4.1 and earlier)

Any help is appreciated.
My Pidgin always crashes when my laptop comes back from Sleep mode. I have
Vista Enterprise, 2GB RAM, Thinkpad X60, Pidgin 2.4.1 and all earlier
versions had the same behavior. I have no plugins installed other than those
that came with the install file. And I have the History, markerline, offline
message emulation,release notification, text replacement, windows pidgin
options enabled and they are all on the 2.4.1 level.
