[Question #43731]: why i can not erase virus files from a started from cd ubuntu session?

i started ubuntu install and choosed the option that make no changes to disk (running from the cd) i inserted my pen drive with hope i can erase virus files of it, the o.s. (ubuntu) was not able to erase those files....why any solution?
