libpurple?

Hello,

i have a problem i have a debian etch server not grafic one (server) i 
administrate the server via command line console (ssh).

The idea.:
libpurple on the debian server and via php send messages over libpurple

But when userXY become a guestbook entry thank send libpurple the user in 
icq or msn a message.

Can you help me by install libpurple an the projekt?
