Problems with authorisation to ejabberd servers

I'll post it here, if that's okay, and raise a ticket once someone
gives me an opinion that I'm not doing anything stupid? (It occurs to
me that it could be as much an ejabberd thing as anything). Or, just
say, and I'll raise a ticket for it.
