Protocol error, code 4608: PM Restart

I've been getting this error periodically recently:

  Protocol error, code 4608: PM Restart

I did some searching and saw that it is related to MSIM.

I'm fine with error dialogs, but this one is annoying because, from my 
perspective, there is no error.  I simply dismiss the dialog, and am 
able to continue using Pidgin and MSIM without any problem.

Perhaps this error dialog doesn't need to display anything?

If it matters, I'm on WinXP Pro.
