Authorize buddy.. over and over and over and over

I use my laptop with XP Pro at work and at home. And I've noticed a 
"Add Buddy request" come up a few times. I at first thought it was 
just an annoying spammer, but now I notice if I log into ICQ, I get 
the Authorize buddy request. If I then wait any period of time, log 
out, then log back in, I get the buddy request again.

I don't see anything in the ICQ logs file to show this, like a chat 
might show, so I don't know what logs to provide that would help.

Any ideas? This is the latest Pidgin.
