Characters such as "ö" or "ü" in status description crash Pidgin

I've seen it too in songs with odd characters in my mp3's.

I'll find one of the songs that cause it and try putting that character 
in the string and let you know. But just thought I'd throw it out there 
I've seen it too. :)
