minimize

hi guys,

i run pidgin on ubuntu 8.10 and being new to this system, i dont know how to
tweak pidgn with a little bug i have. i am used to minimize-on-send my IM
messages but i cant find this option in pidgin...erm...options. 
i hear a user "daemon" can be written and in this case it would be a simple one.
can you help me or point me to the right location/person where/who could help me
with this?
