inbox email messages

In msn live mesenger there is a button that display the number of message in
you hotmail inbox .. 

Is there something similar in pidgin ?
I know there a menu go to directly on your inbox mail but I dot not see any
email count status in the contact list. I use the default pidgin version in
ubuntu 8.10.
