question - how do i remove the time stamp?

Just to clarify.... Yes, obviously the OP wants to NOT see time 
stamps, however the 'option' is an enable / disable, and the option 
is "Show Timestamps"... So - yes, if you want to disable timestamps, 
click on "Show Timestamps" which will - disable the showing of timestamps.

(Sorry, I just forsee e-mails of "The OP wants to DISABLE timestamps"... :)
