unable to retrieve MSN address book

Hello brothers

 I'm getting an error message: "Unable to retrieve MSN address book".  I found this thread on this issue:

 The issue is supposedly related to msnp14 or 15, which isn't even on my list of plugins.

I ran Pidgin from terminal and I got this strange output at the end:

I can log into MSN fine from msn.com with the same username and password that's on the pidgin MSN account, so line two is very strange.

Any ideas would be much appreciated as I use MSN for contacting other translators in my work.  Thanks in advance!
