Okay, I haven't been able to get hold of Yahoo IM for a while.  Today, reading 
support information I tried a couple of things, but no soap.

Env:  Fedora 10, Pidgin 2.5.8

The "new" Yahoo chat client (browser based) works and allows me in.  After 
logoff, still no success with pidgin.
