I want  to thank you for your help! I want to  let you know how I solve the problem, that way if you are interested  you may be able to pass it along to others having this trouble. 
 
First I go to my IM and goto edit account. Goto Advance then I change the command forn the severer I put in cn.scs.msg.yahoo.com
then in the Japan server I put in scsa.msg.yahoo.com
 
The next thing I did was to go into Account preferences and under the Bowser section I changed the comand http://yahoo.com to https://yahoo.com.
 
The last thing was to shut everything down and reboot my notebook and now everything is working find.
 
So thank you again for your assistance and I hope this infermation will be useful for some one else.
