Trouble logging in to Mxit

I downloaded Pidgin and tried to connect to Mxit, using the same details
that i use to log in to Mxit on my Phone but it keeps giving me a message
that says:

*Error contacting the Mxit Wap site.  Please try again later*

what should i do?
