a question please

Hi there[?]
I have just downloaded and installed Pidgin as my Yahoo IM kept bombing.

My question is this - (and I could not find it on your FAQ) - Is there a
setting which will enable me to see when another person is typing? IM had it
and It was really helpful as you never 'overwrote' anyone when they were
typing.

Looking forward to getting to know my way around.
