Disable HTML formatting of outgoing messages

Hello,

I would love to know how I can disable HTML formatting on outgoing messages.
When exchanging messages with a colleague, I do not want Pidgin assume
something is an email address or URL. I just want the text to be sent. I
can't find an option to change this anywhere. Am I missing something?
