Feature Request

Hello there!

I use pidgin because it is shipped with Ubuntu and it's nicely 
integrated into the system. However it lacks some important features 
that you can find in any decent messenger. It is generally a pain in the 
ass to enable/disable contact list display options (offline buddies, 
groups). These options should easily be accessible through (small) 
buttons always visible above or below the contact list. Moreover 
protocols should besides a global status also have an individual one so 
they can be separately set. It would be great if you could include these 
standard features in the next version.
