cant connect to Yahoo with pidgin 2.7.3

There is nothing "wrong" with Pidgin 2.7.3 with respect to Yahoo connections.

You are probably on a network with a proxy server.  If you upgrade to 2.7.3
again and edit your account, you'll find a checkbox on the Advanced tab labeled
"Use account proxy for HTTP and HTTPS connections"; try checking/unchecking it
(if it's checked, uncheck it; if it's unchecked, check it).
