messengers normally don't disclose such a detail so as you don't feel bad.

There is a roughshod method.

If you have another gtalk id (or get one) and add that id in that 
gmail account in pidgin or gtalk or anywhere. he/ she wudn't know that 
it is ur id (made it different enough) and if he she appears online in 
that other id, then he she has blocked your previous id.
